bioMIXdrive 1 is a single-point magnetic stirring system designed for gentle mixing of cell suspensions and culture broths under demanding continuous-duty conditions, including use in CO2 incubators. The maintenance-free 2mag stepper-motor drive delivers extremely slow, 100 % jerk-free agitation across an extended speed range of 5 to 250 rpm, remaining smooth even at the lowest settings and supporting culture flasks with suspended, rotating or pendulum stirrer bars. Suitable for volumes from 5 to 5,000 ml and for viscous culture media, the unit provides up to 5 W stirring power per position on a generous footprint. A fully potted, hermetically sealed stainless-steel housing with PUR sealing meets IP68, is water-, dust- and germ-tight, easy to clean and submersible in water baths for heat-free long-term operation. Operating conditions cover −10 to +50 °C at 100 % humidity or +50 °C when immersed; dimensions are 180 × 180 × 38 mm with a shipping weight of about 2,5 kg. Developed and made in Germany by 2mag, the drive requires the bioMIXcontrol unit, ordered separately. Three-year warranty covers material and manufacturing defects.
