MIXdrive 96 MTP is an ultra-flat, wear-free magnetic stirring system with 96 stirring positions optimised for 96-well microtiter plates. The 8×12 array features a 9 mm pitch and delivers fully synchronous, jerk-free mixing even at low speeds thanks to the maintenance-free 2mag inductive drive. Each position handles up to 0,5 ml, with a maximum stirring power of 10 W. The hermetically sealed stainless-steel housing is completely encapsulated in PUR, rated IP68, and is water-, dust- and germ-tight; it can be immersed in water or oil baths and used inside CO2 incubators and ovens. The basic version operates up to +50 °C in air or submerged, with removable centring pins for robotic integration. Compact dimensions of 140 × 102 × 26 mm and a net weight of 1,1 kg make the unit easy to place. Developed and made in Germany by 2mag, the system carries a three-year warranty on material and manufacturing defects. Note that the MIXcontrol MTP controller must be ordered separately.
