Ergonomic weight distribution and easy tip ejection with a silicone-based shock-absorption mechanism help reduce the risk of repetitive strain during longer sessions. A large four-digit volume display stays easy to read and is not covered by the palm in use. The instrument is built from corrosion- and impact-resistant materials, is fully autoclavable and UV-resistant, and does not require recalibration after sterilisation. Tip cones are made from highly resistant PVDF. A magnet-assisted piston removes the need for a heavy plunger spring, lowering the force required to operate the pipette, while an innovative spring and seal design further reduces plunger effort. A volume lock switch and rotary knob can be operated with one hand, and colour-coded buttons simplify identification and sorting of individual pipettes.
