Description
Analytical balance KERN ALJ 200-5DA is an analytical laboratory balance with a high weighing range, graphic display and comfortable recipe functionality for structured weighing workflows. The graphic display enables quick, efficient operation, with simple plain-text user guidance available in DE, EN, FR, IT, ES and PT. Internal automatic adjustment supports high accuracy and location-independent use. Stable weighing values are obtained within approximately 10 s, or about 6 s under laboratory conditions. Tolerance weighing (checkweighing) allows entry of upper and lower limits, with optical and acoustic signals to assist portioning, dosing and sorting. A dosing aid offers a high-stability mode and further selectable filter settings. An internal memory stores complete recipes including names and target values of recipe components, accompanied by display-supported user guidance. The control panel is ergonomically optimised for left- and right-handed operation. A large glass draft shield with three sliding doors gives convenient access to the load; the weighing space measures 160 × 170 × 225 mm (W × D × H). Compact dimensions are advantageous where space is restricted. A protective working cover is included in the scope of delivery from manufacturer Kern. Pack size is 1 pc.

Questions about Analytical Balances KERN ALJ 200-5DA
What is this article?
Analytical Balances KERN ALJ 200-5DA is the article on this page. Luminix Health distributes Kern for laboratory use. It sits in Analytical balances, inside Balances & scales, in Lab instruments.
An analytical balance reads to 0.1 mg or finer, inside a draft shield. It is for standards, for filter weights and for anything where the last digit is the result. Vibration, a slanted bench and a warm sample are how it lies.
A balance compares a mass with a standard. An analytical balance reads to 0.1 mg or finer and needs a draft shield and a stable bench. A precision balance is coarser and faster. A platform scale takes a heavier load. The reading is only as good as the calibration chain back to the kilogram, which is why test weights and a certificate exist. A moisture analyser is a balance with a heater: it records the loss of mass as water leaves. The unit of mass is kept by the BIPM, compared across Europe by EURAMET, and accredited by BELAC. NIST publishes the same measurement foundations.
