Description
BactoSonic BS 14.2 ultrasonic bath with a capacity of 13,5 litres is a specialised ultrasonic unit developed for the gentle detachment of biofilms from infected implants. Low-frequency ultrasound at reduced intensity removes microorganisms from implant surfaces without destroying them, preserving viable cells for subsequent microbiological analysis. The implant is placed in the supplied box, covered with liquid and sonicated; the resulting suspension can then be processed quantitatively. Compared with conventional methods such as periprosthetic tissue biopsies, up to 10 000 times more bacteria can be recovered, improving detection of mixed infections and different bacterial morphotypes, especially after prior antibiotic therapy. Internal dimensions are 325 × 300 × 150 mm; the unit features a ball-valve drain G ½ on the left side. Nominal power is 200 W and ultrasonic peak power 800 W. This specialised bath from manufacturer Bandelin supports precise microbiological diagnosis of implant-associated infections. Net weight is 11,6 kg and gross weight 12,9 kg.

Questions about SONOREX PR 140 DH Set Ultrasonic bath with heating
What is this article?
SONOREX PR 140 DH Set Ultrasonic bath with heating is the article on this page. Luminix Health distributes Bandelin for laboratory use. It sits in Ultrasonic baths & cleaners, inside Ultrasonic baths & lab washers, in Lab instruments.
An ultrasonic cleaner drops parts into a bath where collapsing bubbles scrub joints and bores. Tank volume and ultrasonic power are the ratings. A basket keeps items off the tank floor, where the transducers are. The liquid is usually water plus a cleaning concentrate, not a strong solvent, unless the tank is rated for it.
An ultrasonic bath cleans by cavitation: the sound collapses tiny bubbles against the surface and lifts soil out of joints a brush cannot reach. The chemistry of the bath liquid still matters. A laboratory glassware washer is the machine that replaces hand washing when the load is large or the result has to be repeatable. Rinse water quality decides whether the glass comes out spotted. The ware being washed is listed under ISO laboratory glassware.
