Description

BOLA expanding stirrer blades with an outer diameter of 94 mm are produced completely from PTFE and include two stirrer blades, a bolt and an expanding disc. They are intended for vessels with ground joints NS 24/29, NS 29/32 and larger: the blades pass through the joint in the collapsed state and open inside the flask to deliver a wide stirring action. Blade thickness is 2,5 mm, supporting stable radial mixing of liquids while all wetted surfaces remain chemically inert. Pure PTFE construction provides broad resistance to aggressive reagents and organic solvents used in laboratory synthesis and work-up. Offered as two pieces with a net weight of 0,013 kg, this expanding blade set from manufacturer Bohlender fits overhead stirrers where neck diameter would otherwise limit impeller size. Easy insertion through standard ground joints combined with the chemical durability of PTFE makes the assembly suitable for homogeneous blending in round-bottom and comparable reaction vessels that require a larger expanded working diameter.

Questions about BOLA Centrifugal Stirrer Blades, NS 24/29 aØ 94 mm PTFE

What is this article?

BOLA Centrifugal Stirrer Blades, NS 24/29 aØ 94 mm PTFE is the article on this page. Luminix Health distributes Bohlender for laboratory use. It sits in Stirring & mixing accessories, inside Stirring, shaking & mixing, in Lab instruments.

Stirring accessories are the bosses, the retort clamps and the spare knobs that hold an overhead stirrer over the vessel. The stand has to carry the motor's mass, not only the flask's.

Stirring keeps a mixture uniform or helps a solid dissolve. A magnetic stirrer spins a bar inside a closed vessel. An overhead stirrer drives a shaft when the liquid is viscous or the volume is large. A vortex mixer agitates a tube. A shaker moves a whole rack or a plate. The shape of the impeller and the speed decide whether the liquid turns over or merely spins. The vessels being stirred are indexed under ISO laboratory glassware.
