Description

BOLA control valve for hose outer diameter 10 mm is a laboratory regulating valve with a PTFE body and a 6 mm through-bore. Head and adjusting screw are made of PPS, and the two hose or pipe connections include PTFE ferrules and PTFE-glass fibre nuts. Turning the adjusting screw actuates a PTFE bellows that closes the passage and regulates volumetric flow without a graduated scale; the opening degree is shown by a protruding indicator pin in the centre of the screw. An arrow engraved on the valve body marks the flow direction that must be observed during installation. Because the medium contacts only PTFE, the valve offers universal chemical resistance for aggressive laboratory fluids. Fitting thread M 18 x 2 matches 10 mm outer-diameter tubing; approximate outer dimensions are 89 x 44 x 83 mm (length x depth x height). This BOLA unit from manufacturer Bohlender is intended for analytical and process lines needing inert wetted surfaces and fine manual flow control. Net weight is 0,215 kg. Pack size is one piece for integration into chemically demanding fluid paths.

Questions about BOLA Control Valves, Ø 10 mm Valve body made of PTFE with bore dia. 6 mm, holdin

What is this article?

BOLA Control Valves, Ø 10 mm Valve body made of PTFE with bore dia. 6 mm, holdin is the article on this page. Luminix Health distributes Bohlender for laboratory use. It sits in Stopcocks & valves, inside Tubing, hoses & fittings, in Labware.

A stopcock opens and closes a line, or directs it between ports. Glass stopcocks have a ground plug that needs grease or a PTFE key. The bore decides the flow. A two-way and a three-way key are different parts.

Tubing is how a liquid or a gas moves between two vessels without being poured. Silicone stays flexible and survives repeated autoclaving. PTFE resists almost every solvent and is stiff. PVC is the ordinary flexible line for water and for mild aqueous work. The fitting, not the tube, is what usually leaks: the barb, the thread and the stopcock have to match the tube bore. Glass and plastic apparatus around these lines is indexed under ISO laboratory ware.
