Description

BOLA double half-moon stirring shaft L 350 mm is a PTFE-coated stainless-steel agitator for laboratory vessels with ground joint NS 29/32. The shaft carries two tiltable half-moon stirring blades with double groove; blade holder and blades are made entirely of PTFE, so the process medium contacts only polytetrafluoroethylene and benefits from universal chemical resistance. Shaft diameter is 10 mm with a chuck diameter of 8,0 mm; blade-related dimensions according to the manufacturer drawing are A–B–C–D 90–24–3–140 mm, corresponding to a blade width of 90 mm. Overall length of 350 mm suits medium-depth flasks and reactors used in synthesis and process development. Produced by Bohlender, the assembly has a net weight of 0,174 kg and is supplied as a single piece. The PTFE encapsulation protects both the stainless core and the chemistry from unwanted metal contact, while the double half-moon geometry supports efficient mixing across a useful working volume. This shaft is intended for routine overhead stirring where chemical inertness and NS 29/32 compatibility are required.

What is this article?

BOLA Double-Moon-Shaped Stirrer Shafts, L 350 mm Ø 10 mm, NS 29/32 PTFE-coated S is the article on this page. Luminix Health distributes Bohlender for laboratory use. It sits in Distillation heads, adapters & columns, inside Distillation & extraction glassware, in Labware.

A still head, an adapter or a column is the glass between the boiling flask and the condenser. A Vigreux or packed column gives the vapour a surface so a closer-boiling mixture can separate. The joint sizes at both ends have to match the flask and the condenser.

Distillation separates liquids by boiling point. A condenser turns the vapour back into liquid: Liebig, coil and cold-finger shapes differ in how much cooling surface they offer. A still head and a column sit between the flask and the condenser. A Soxhlet extractor washes a solid again and again with the same solvent. Ground joints have a standard size, and the joint, not the flask, is what has to match. The pieces are indexed under ISO laboratory glassware.
