Description
BOLA quick coupling GL 18 is a two-part laboratory quick coupling manufactured completely from perfluoroalkoxy alkane (PFA) for joining hoses or tubes with GL threads and BOLA laboratory screw fittings. Flow can be interrupted quickly and cleanly: separation activates built-in check valves that shut the line and restore flow only after the halves are locked together again. The coupling is designed for pressures up to max. 6 bar, vacuum at 700 mm Hg, and working temperatures up to max. +200 °C. The medium contacts PFA only, providing universal chemical resistance for laboratory media handling. Connection thread is GL 18; length without screw fitting is 75 mm. Water flow rate at 4 bar is 4,0 l/min. Offered by manufacturer Bohlender, this GL 18 quick coupling supports repeatable connect–disconnect cycles in tubing systems that need secure shut-off when opened. Net weight is 0,0496 kg. Pack size is 1 piece for hose-coupling duties where a full-PFA GL 18 quick coupling with defined flow capacity is specified.

Questions about BOLA GL Quick Connectors, GL 18 with GL Thread PFA
What is this article?
BOLA GL Quick Connectors, GL 18 with GL Thread PFA is the article on this page. Luminix Health distributes Bohlender for laboratory use. It sits in Hose connectors, adapters & fittings, inside Tubing, hoses & fittings, in Labware.
A hose connector or adapter joins two lines, or steps one bore down to another. The barb diameter has to match the tube, and the thread has to match the stopcock or the bottle. Most leaks are a mismatch here, not a hole in the tube.
Tubing is how a liquid or a gas moves between two vessels without being poured. Silicone stays flexible and survives repeated autoclaving. PTFE resists almost every solvent and is stiff. PVC is the ordinary flexible line for water and for mild aqueous work. The fitting, not the tube, is what usually leaks: the barb, the thread and the stopcock have to match the tube bore. Glass and plastic apparatus around these lines is indexed under ISO laboratory ware.
