Description

BOLA Quick Couplings-GL, GL 25, are two-part quick couplings made entirely of PFA for connecting hoses or tubing in laboratory fluid systems. Each coupling provides two GL threads for use with BOLA laboratory screw fittings, allowing rapid, straightforward interruption of flow. When the halves are separated, integrated check valves close the line automatically and reopen only after secure re-locking, supporting controlled disconnection under process conditions. The design is rated for pressures up to 6 bar, vacuum to 700 mm Hg, and working temperatures up to +200 °C. Universal chemical resistance is achieved because the medium contacts only PFA. Key dimensions include GL 25 connection threads, a length without screw fittings of 79 mm, and a flow rate of 10,5 l/min at 4 bar with water. Net weight is 0,081 kg. These couplings from manufacturer Bohlender are suited to demanding laboratory and process setups that require inert wetted surfaces, reliable shut-off, and GL-compatible connections. Supplied as 1 piece.

Questions about BOLA GL Quick Connectors, GL 25 with GL Thread PFA

What is this article?

BOLA GL Quick Connectors, GL 25 with GL Thread PFA is the article on this page. Luminix Health distributes Bohlender for laboratory use. It sits in Hose connectors, adapters & fittings, inside Tubing, hoses & fittings, in Labware.

A hose connector or adapter joins two lines, or steps one bore down to another. The barb diameter has to match the tube, and the thread has to match the stopcock or the bottle. Most leaks are a mismatch here, not a hole in the tube.

Tubing is how a liquid or a gas moves between two vessels without being poured. Silicone stays flexible and survives repeated autoclaving. PTFE resists almost every solvent and is stiff. PVC is the ordinary flexible line for water and for mild aqueous work. The fitting, not the tube, is what usually leaks: the barb, the thread and the stopcock have to match the tube bore. Glass and plastic apparatus around these lines is indexed under ISO laboratory ware.
