Description
BOLA GT glass stirring shaft with crescent stirrer blade is a precision KPG stirring shaft made from borosilicate glass for laboratory vessels with ground joint NS 29/32. The shaft is 390 mm long, with a shaft diameter of 10 mm and a chuck diameter of 8 mm for secure mounting in standard stirrer drives. Its tiltable half-moon (crescent) stirrer blade includes an angled groove and fastening bolt; blade and bolt are manufactured entirely from PTFE and measure 68 × 24 × 3 mm. Process media contact only glass and PTFE, giving universal chemical resistance for demanding laboratory work. Supplied as one piece with a net weight of 0,06 kg, this surface stirrer from manufacturer Bohlender combines a dimensionally stable glass shaft with chemically inert PTFE blade components. It is suited to reaction flasks, round-bottom vessels and other NS 29/32 glassware where efficient mixing is required without metallic contamination. Typical uses include chemical synthesis, extraction and general sample preparation whenever glass and PTFE compatibility is essential.
This article is part of Distillation heads, adapters & columns, in Distillation & extraction glassware.

Questions about BOLA GT Glass Stirrer Shafts, L 390 mm Ø 10 mm NS 29/32 GLASS/PTFE moon-shaped s
What is this article?
BOLA GT Glass Stirrer Shafts, L 390 mm Ø 10 mm NS 29/32 GLASS/PTFE moon-shaped s is the article on this page. Luminix Health distributes Bohlender for laboratory use. It sits in Stirring & mixing accessories, inside Stirring, shaking & mixing, in Lab instruments.
Stirring accessories are the bosses, the retort clamps and the spare knobs that hold an overhead stirrer over the vessel. The stand has to carry the motor's mass, not only the flask's.
Stirring keeps a mixture uniform or helps a solid dissolve. A magnetic stirrer spins a bar inside a closed vessel. An overhead stirrer drives a shaft when the liquid is viscous or the volume is large. A vortex mixer agitates a tube. A shaker moves a whole rack or a plate. The shape of the impeller and the speed decide whether the liquid turns over or merely spins. The vessels being stirred are indexed under ISO laboratory glassware.
