Description
BOLA laboratory screw joints sized for GL 25 threads and 12,0 mm hose outer diameter provide a dependable interface between laboratory tubing and threaded glassware. The red screw cap is produced from glass-fibre-reinforced ETFE. Inner parts consist of a clamping ring (ETFE) plus sealing wedge and sealing plate in PTFE, so the flowing medium contacts only PTFE and benefits from very good chemical resistance. This variant is specified with inner parts in PTFE and ETFE-glass fibre, giving a firm mechanical grip on the hose while preserving an inert flow path. An extra O-ring is used on fittings for hose outer diameters smaller than 3 mm and stays out of contact with the medium. Delivered as a single piece with a net weight of 0,037 kg, the joint is intended for laboratory fluid lines that need a GL 25 connection and a chemically resistant seal. Hose outer diameter is 12,0 mm with GL 25 thread. Laboratory screw joints from manufacturer Bohlender support everyday tubing work in chemical, analytical and process laboratories.

Questions about BOLA Laboratory Screw Joints, GL 25 Ø 12 mm PTFE inner parts, ETFE cap
What is this article?
BOLA Laboratory Screw Joints, GL 25 Ø 12 mm PTFE inner parts, ETFE cap is the article on this page. Luminix Health distributes Bohlender for laboratory use. It sits in Screw caps & closures, inside Stoppers, caps & closures, in Labware.
A screw cap has a thread and a liner. The thread has to match the bottle. The liner has to survive the liquid: a pulp liner fails in a solvent that a PTFE-faced liner ignores. The colour of the cap is not the specification.
A closure is the part that decides whether a bottle stays shut and whether the contents attack the seal. A ground-glass stopper matches a ground neck. A screw cap needs the right thread and a liner that survives the liquid. Rubber and silicone stoppers push into a mouth. The liner, not the colour of the cap, is the chemical choice. The vessels they close are indexed under ISO laboratory glassware.
