Description

BOLA Mini manifold in block design is a compact PTFE connecting block for laboratory fluid handling with three ports. Fabricated from chemically resistant polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE), it accepts tubing of 1,6 x 3,2 mm inner x outer diameter (1/16 x 1/8'') via internal UNF 1/4'' 28G threads used with matching hollow screws. Two mounting holes of Ø 3,5 mm enable secure fixation of the distributor. The body measures 28 mm in outer diameter and 15 mm in height, with a net weight of 0,02 kg. These mini manifolds from manufacturer Bohlender belong to a range of connection blocks that can provide up to nine ports for branching or combining fluid lines. The inert PTFE construction supports analytical and preparative applications that demand chemically stable wetted surfaces. Supplied as a single piece, the low-profile block fits neatly into fittings assemblies and tubing systems in research and quality-control laboratories needing reliable, compact liquid or gas distribution.

This article is part of Hose connectors, adapters & fittings, in Tubing, hoses & fittings.

Questions about BOLA Miniature Distributors, UNF 1/4'' 28G, Ø 1,6 x 3,2 mm PTFE, block-shaped, 3

What is this article?

BOLA Miniature Distributors, UNF 1/4'' 28G, Ø 1,6 x 3,2 mm PTFE, block-shaped, 3 is the article on this page. Luminix Health distributes Bohlender for laboratory use. It sits in Hose connectors, adapters & fittings, inside Tubing, hoses & fittings, in Labware.

A hose connector or adapter joins two lines, or steps one bore down to another. The barb diameter has to match the tube, and the thread has to match the stopcock or the bottle. Most leaks are a mismatch here, not a hole in the tube.

Tubing is how a liquid or a gas moves between two vessels without being poured. Silicone stays flexible and survives repeated autoclaving. PTFE resists almost every solvent and is stiff. PVC is the ordinary flexible line for water and for mild aqueous work. The fitting, not the tube, is what usually leaks: the barb, the thread and the stopcock have to match the tube bore. Glass and plastic apparatus around these lines is indexed under ISO laboratory ware.
