Description

BOLA screw-in connector PG, NPT 1/2'' to PG 13,5, is a compact adapter stub for mounting on BOLA reactor lid ports. It converts an NPT 1/2'' screw-in connection into a PG 13,5 interface so sensors and probes with PG external thread can be attached securely to the lid. A hexagonal grip surface in standard wrench size simplifies installation and removal with common laboratory tools. Specified dimensions are screw-in thread NPT 1/2'', PG thread 13,5 and wrench size (SW) 24 mm, matching the connection geometry used on corresponding BOLA reactor lids. The single NPT 1/2'' inlet side seats into the lid thread, while the PG 13,5 side receives suitable probes or fittings. From manufacturer Bohlender, the connector is supplied as one piece with a net weight of 0,017 kg. It is intended for laboratory reactor assemblies where temperature, pH or other sensing elements with PG external thread must be integrated via existing NPT ports on BOLA reactor lids without redesigning the cover.

Questions about BOLA Screw-In Fittings PG, NPT 1/2'' - PG 13,5 PTFE, 1x NPT1/2 male, 1x PG 13,5

What is this article?

BOLA Screw-In Fittings PG, NPT 1/2'' - PG 13,5 PTFE, 1x NPT1/2 male, 1x PG 13,5 is the article on this page. Luminix Health distributes Bohlender for laboratory use. It sits in Hose connectors, adapters & fittings, inside Tubing, hoses & fittings, in Labware.

A hose connector or adapter joins two lines, or steps one bore down to another. The barb diameter has to match the tube, and the thread has to match the stopcock or the bottle. Most leaks are a mismatch here, not a hole in the tube.

Tubing is how a liquid or a gas moves between two vessels without being poured. Silicone stays flexible and survives repeated autoclaving. PTFE resists almost every solvent and is stiff. PVC is the ordinary flexible line for water and for mild aqueous work. The fitting, not the tube, is what usually leaks: the barb, the thread and the stopcock have to match the tube bore. Glass and plastic apparatus around these lines is indexed under ISO laboratory ware.
