Description

BOLA Screw-in Stirring Seal with GL 25 cap thread and NPT 1/2'' male thread is designed for installation in the centre neck of BOLA reactor lids to provide centric guidance of stirring shafts measuring 8 mm in diameter. An integrated special PTFE seal combined with an FPM O-ring delivers controlled sealing against the shaft when the PPS GL screw cap applies metered pressure during operation. The hexagonal grip surface matches the standard wrench size of 25 mm, allowing convenient assembly, adjustment and secure fastening in laboratory environments. Only PTFE contacts the process medium, giving universal chemical resistance suitable for demanding laboratory chemistry and corrosive media handling. Offered as a single piece from manufacturer Bohlender, the seal has a net weight of 0,0711 kg and supports reliable shaft guidance in glass reactor systems fitted with compatible lids. This accessory enables secure, centred stirring while maintaining chemical inertness at the wetted surfaces during synthesis, mixing, extraction and process development applications across research and pilot-scale work.

Questions about BOLA Screw In Stirrer Bearings, GL 25, NPT 1/2'', Ø 8 mm Screw-In Thread NPT 1/2

What is this article?

BOLA Screw In Stirrer Bearings, GL 25, NPT 1/2'', Ø 8 mm Screw-In Thread NPT 1/2 is the article on this page. Luminix Health distributes Bohlender for laboratory use. It sits in Hose connectors, adapters & fittings, inside Tubing, hoses & fittings, in Labware.

A hose connector or adapter joins two lines, or steps one bore down to another. The barb diameter has to match the tube, and the thread has to match the stopcock or the bottle. Most leaks are a mismatch here, not a hole in the tube.

Tubing is how a liquid or a gas moves between two vessels without being poured. Silicone stays flexible and survives repeated autoclaving. PTFE resists almost every solvent and is stiff. PVC is the ordinary flexible line for water and for mild aqueous work. The fitting, not the tube, is what usually leaks: the barb, the thread and the stopcock have to match the tube bore. Glass and plastic apparatus around these lines is indexed under ISO laboratory ware.
