Description
BOLA Standard Ground Joint Stirrer Seals NS 29/32 for Ø 8 mm stirrer shafts are PTFE laboratory fittings intended to seal stirring equipment in standard ground-joint apparatus. The PTFE ground joint core carries raised sealing rings that limit the bearing surface in the joint socket, allowing easier release of the core and helping reduce glass breakage in routine laboratory work. Sealing to the stirrer shaft is provided by a specialised PTFE gasket with an FKM O-ring, tightened by dosed pressure from the GL screw cap manufactured in PPS. Specified dimensions comprise a European-norm NS 29/32 core, compatibility with 8 mm diameter stirrer shafts, an overall length of approximately 74 mm and a GL 25 cap thread. Supplied as a single piece with a net weight of 0,105 kg, the seal from manufacturer Bohlender is suited to chemical synthesis and process stirring applications where a chemically resistant PTFE body and a dependable shaft seal are required. The GL-capped construction keeps installation straightforward on standard glass joints.

Questions about BOLA Stirrer Bearings, NS 29/32 Ø 8 mm GL 25 PTFE, PTFE/FKM gasket
What is this article?
BOLA Stirrer Bearings, NS 29/32 Ø 8 mm GL 25 PTFE, PTFE/FKM gasket is the article on this page. Luminix Health distributes Bohlender for laboratory use. It sits in Lids & seals, inside Stoppers, caps & closures, in Labware.
Lids and seals are the covers of dishes, jars and tanks: a snap lid, a sealing film, a gasket. The seal is doing the work. A lid that only rests on the rim does not contain a volatile liquid.
A closure is the part that decides whether a bottle stays shut and whether the contents attack the seal. A ground-glass stopper matches a ground neck. A screw cap needs the right thread and a liner that survives the liquid. Rubber and silicone stoppers push into a mouth. The liner, not the colour of the cap, is the chemical choice. The vessels they close are indexed under ISO laboratory glassware.
