Description

BOLA Thermocouple K is a type K (NiCr–Ni) temperature sensor housed in a PTFE-sheathed stainless steel tube (1.4571) for chemically demanding laboratory applications. The probe diameter is 8 mm, with a pointed sensing tip and a fall protection ring of 12 mm diameter. Usable probe length is 500 mm and overall length is approximately 560 mm, giving extended reach for deeper immersion. Electrical connection uses a green PFA-coated cable of 1,5 m with free strands in 2-wire technology and without a plug. Typical response times are about 25 s for T50 and about 59 s for T90. PTFE jacketing combined with the stainless steel core supports measurement in aggressive media, while the pointed tip facilitates immersion. Offered as one piece with a net weight of 0,137 kg, this longer-format thermocouple from manufacturer Bohlender is intended for laboratory and process setups that need a robust, chemically protected type K sensor with open-ended cabling for flexible instrument connection and reliable temperature monitoring at greater immersion depths.

What is this article?

BOLA Temperature Probes K, Ø 8 mm, L 560 mm Usable Length 500 mm, without plug, is the article on this page. Luminix Health distributes Bohlender for laboratory use. It sits in Temperature probes & sensors, inside Temperature measurement, in Lab instruments.

A temperature probe is the sensor, Pt100, thermocouple or thermistor, that a meter or a logger reads. The probe, not the display, is what is calibrated. The sheath material and the response time matter in a liquid versus a block.

A thermometer reports a temperature. A liquid-in-glass thermometer is a calibrated column. A digital thermometer is a sensor and a display, and the sensor, not the display, is what is calibrated. An infrared thermometer reads a surface and depends on emissivity. A data logger stores the reading over time. Without a stated uncertainty and a calibration point, the number is only an indication. The scale is maintained by the BIPM and compared by EURAMET. Accreditation is BELAC.
