Description

BOLA T-olives Ø 11 mm PTFE are T-form connecting pieces made wholly of polytetrafluoroethylene for branching elastic laboratory tubing. Three olives accept flexible hoses such as Viton®, Tygon® or silicone, creating a chemically inert junction where only PTFE touches the medium. This all-PTFE contact path delivers universal chemical resistance for a wide range of laboratory chemicals and solvents. Dimensional data include an overall length of 28,5 mm, a through-bore of 6 mm and an olive outer diameter of 11,0 mm, matching larger flexible lines while remaining compact on the bench. The connector is supplied as one piece with a net weight of 0,015 kg, ready for use in sampling, transfer or manifold setups. From manufacturer Bohlender, the BOLA design avoids metallic wetted surfaces and supports clean, reliable hose connections in analytical and process laboratory environments. PTFE construction maintains inertness and simplifies integration into existing tubing systems that demand chemical compatibility.

Questions about BOLA Tubing Connectors T, Ø 11 mm PTFE

What is this article?

BOLA Tubing Connectors T, Ø 11 mm PTFE is the article on this page. Luminix Health distributes Bohlender for laboratory use. It sits in Hose connectors, adapters & fittings, inside Tubing, hoses & fittings, in Labware.

A hose connector or adapter joins two lines, or steps one bore down to another. The barb diameter has to match the tube, and the thread has to match the stopcock or the bottle. Most leaks are a mismatch here, not a hole in the tube.

Tubing is how a liquid or a gas moves between two vessels without being poured. Silicone stays flexible and survives repeated autoclaving. PTFE resists almost every solvent and is stiff. PVC is the ordinary flexible line for water and for mild aqueous work. The fitting, not the tube, is what usually leaks: the barb, the thread and the stopcock have to match the tube bore. Glass and plastic apparatus around these lines is indexed under ISO laboratory ware.
