Description

BOLA anchor additional blades are solid PTFE stirrer blades intended for matching PTFE stirrer shafts with a shaft diameter of 10 mm. Blade dimensions according to the illustration are A – B – C – D of 130 – 80 – 55 – 80 mm. The massive stirring blades are manufactured from polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE), and the clamping fastenings are produced from a PEEK compound. Several stirring blades can be mounted torsion-proof at freely selectable height and direction of rotation on the stirrer shaft by means of a clamp fastening on the matching BOLA stirrer shafts. A suitable open-end spanner is supplied for assembly; the wrench size is 19. These anchor additional blades from manufacturer Bohlender enable flexible multi-blade configurations on one shaft for laboratory stirring applications. The solid PTFE construction and PEEK-compound clamp form a modular add-on for BOLA paddle, anchor and turbine stirrer arrangements. Each unit is supplied as 1 piece and has a net weight of 0,212 kg. Individual blades can be positioned independently in height and rotation sense, so the overall stirring geometry can be adapted to vessel size and process needs without exchanging the shaft.

What is this article?

BOLA U-Shaped Blades, Ø 10 mm a Ø 130x80x55x80 mm for stainless steel shafts jac is the article on this page. Luminix Health distributes Bohlender for laboratory use. It sits in Stirring shafts, propellers & impellers, inside Stirring, shaking & mixing, in Lab instruments.

A shaft, a propeller or an impeller is the wetted end of an overhead stirrer. The diameter and the pitch decide whether the liquid turns over. The material, stainless steel or PTFE, decides what the liquid may be. The chuck size has to match the stirrer.

Stirring keeps a mixture uniform or helps a solid dissolve. A magnetic stirrer spins a bar inside a closed vessel. An overhead stirrer drives a shaft when the liquid is viscous or the volume is large. A vortex mixer agitates a tube. A shaker moves a whole rack or a plate. The shape of the impeller and the speed decide whether the liquid turns over or merely spins. The vessels being stirred are indexed under ISO laboratory glassware.
