Description

BOLA anchor stirrer shaft, length 1600 mm, is engineered for deep laboratory and pilot-scale vessels that require thorough peripheral mixing. The stainless-steel shaft carries a continuous PTFE coating and the anchor blade is produced completely from PTFE, so the process fluid contacts only polytetrafluoroethylene and benefits from its universal chemical resistance. Shaft diameter remains 16 mm with a chucking diameter of 14,0 mm for standard drive coupling. Blade dimensions according to the manufacturer drawing are A 180 mm, B 140 mm, C 100 mm and D 110 mm, providing a larger 180×140 mm anchor footprint for improved wall clearance and bulk circulation. Net weight is 2,4 kg. Available as a single unit from manufacturer Bohlender, the shaft is suitable for corrosive media, high-purity formulations and applications where metallic contact must be avoided. The extended length and reinforced PTFE construction support stable operation in taller reactors while maintaining the inert surface characteristics demanded by modern laboratory practice.

What is this article?

BOLA U-Shaped Stirrer Shafts, L 1600mm, Ø 16mm, aØ 180x140mm PTFE-coated STAINLE is the article on this page. Luminix Health distributes Bohlender for laboratory use. It sits in Stirring shafts, propellers & impellers, inside Stirring, shaking & mixing, in Lab instruments.

A shaft, a propeller or an impeller is the wetted end of an overhead stirrer. The diameter and the pitch decide whether the liquid turns over. The material, stainless steel or PTFE, decides what the liquid may be. The chuck size has to match the stirrer.

Stirring keeps a mixture uniform or helps a solid dissolve. A magnetic stirrer spins a bar inside a closed vessel. An overhead stirrer drives a shaft when the liquid is viscous or the volume is large. A vortex mixer agitates a tube. A shaker moves a whole rack or a plate. The shape of the impeller and the speed decide whether the liquid turns over or merely spins. The vessels being stirred are indexed under ISO laboratory glassware.
