Description

Water sample bottle PP with sodium thiosulfate, brown, sterile (R), 125 ml is a polypropylene container designed for the collection, transport and storage of water samples for microbiological analysis. It is appropriate for every procedure requiring a sterile specimen. Bottles are produced in aseptically controlled halls and subsequently sterilised by gamma irradiation; batch numbers together with manufacturing and expiry data appear on the packaging. The square body facilitates handling and conserves storage space, while the GL 50 neck supports convenient filling and pouring. The polyethylene cap features broad grip grooves, self-locking action and an internal safety ring that ensure a hermetic, leak-proof closure. Embossed volume markings on the side walls improve liquid-level visibility. Pre-dosed with sodium thiosulfate at 20 mg/l in line with ISO/FIS 19458/2006, these bottles are ideal when residual chlorine could alter sample composition. The brown PP formulation from manufacturer ISOLAB Laborgeräte blocks UV light while retaining good transparency. Supplied as a bulk pack of 130 pieces.

A wide mouth is for powders and for reaching the bottom. Laboratory ware of this kind is indexed under ISO laboratory glassware. Traceable volume sits with the BIPM and NIST Physical Measurement.
