Description
Water sample bottle PP with sodium thiosulfate, clear, sterile (R), 500 ml is a polypropylene container for the collection, transport and storage of water samples destined for microbiological analysis. It is suitable for any procedure that requires a sterile specimen. The bottles are manufactured in aseptically controlled production areas and then sterilised by gamma irradiation; batch numbers plus manufacturing and expiry dates are shown on the packaging. A square body simplifies handling and saves storage space, while the GL 50 neck permits easy filling and pouring. The polyethylene cap incorporates broad grip grooves, a self-locking mechanism and an internal safety ring that together provide a hermetic, leak-proof closure. Embossed volume graduations on the side walls improve visibility of the liquid level. Pre-dosed with sodium thiosulfate at 20 mg/l in accordance with ISO/FIS 19458/2006, these bottles are ideal when residual chlorine could alter sample composition. Made from highly transparent PP by manufacturer ISOLAB Laborgeräte, the clear version offers excellent content visibility. Supplied as a bulk pack of 42 pieces.

What is this article?
bottle - water sampling - P.P - with sodium thiosulfate - clear - sterile R - is the article on this page. Luminix Health distributes ISOLAB for laboratory use. It sits in Plastic bottles (narrow & wide mouth), inside Bottles & containers, in Labware.
A plastic bottle is polyethylene, polypropylene or a fluoropolymer, narrow-mouth for pouring or wide-mouth for powders. It is the choice when the bottle must not shatter, and it is the wrong choice for solvents that swell the plastic.
A laboratory bottle is a closed container with a stated volume and a neck that takes a cap, a stopper or a dispenser. Borosilicate glass is the choice when the liquid is a solvent, or when the bottle will be heated or autoclaved. Polyethylene and polypropylene are the choice when the bottle must not shatter, or when hydrofluoric acid would attack glass. A narrow mouth pours. A wide mouth is for powders and for reaching the bottom. Laboratory ware of this kind is indexed under ISO laboratory glassware. Traceable volume sits with the BIPM and NIST Physical Measurement.
