Description
C-MAG MS 4 magnetic stirrer without heating is a compact laboratory stirrer fitted with a glass ceramic top plate that offers very good chemical resistance for everyday bench work. The powerful motor handles stirring volumes up to 5 l (H2O), making the unit suitable for a wide range of aqueous and solvent-based preparations in research, quality control and teaching laboratories. A raised, set-back control panel protects the electronics from spilled liquids while the continuously adjustable speed range of 100–1500 1/min allows gentle mixing through to vigorous agitation. Supplied as a single unit from manufacturer IKA under the IKAMAG® trademark, the instrument combines a durable ceramic working surface with straightforward operation. Net weight is 2,716 kg and gross weight 3,135 kg, ensuring a stable footprint on the bench. Ideal for routine sample preparation, media mixing and general laboratory stirring tasks where heating is not required.

Questions about C-MAG MS 4, Magnetic stirrer without heating, ceramic plate
What is this article?
C-MAG MS 4, Magnetic stirrer without heating, ceramic plate is the article on this page. Luminix Health distributes IKA for laboratory use. It sits in Magnetic stirrers, inside Stirring, shaking & mixing, in Lab instruments.
A magnetic stirrer is the motor and the plate under the flask. Many also heat. The stirring capacity is the litres of a water-like liquid it can turn, and a viscous liquid defeats a rating that was measured on water.
Stirring keeps a mixture uniform or helps a solid dissolve. A magnetic stirrer spins a bar inside a closed vessel. An overhead stirrer drives a shaft when the liquid is viscous or the volume is large. A vortex mixer agitates a tube. A shaker moves a whole rack or a plate. The shape of the impeller and the speed decide whether the liquid turns over or merely spins. The vessels being stirred are indexed under ISO laboratory glassware.
