Description
Compact portable balance Series CBX, 1200 g is a portable weighing instrument combining standard weighing with piece-counting functionality for laboratory and field use. It is built with a robust ABS housing and a 148 × 148 mm weighing pan in grade 304 stainless steel, plus adjustable feet and a spirit level to maintain accurate results at any location. External calibration is supported, and the bright backlit display with 18 mm digits remains easy to read under most lighting conditions. Battery operation provides up to 216 hours of runtime and recharges via the included low-voltage USB cable, making the compact format well suited to field research. External dimensions are 155 × 225 × 60 mm with a net weight of 1,400 kg. The balance is delivered with an instruction manual and a two-year warranty; an optional manufacturer calibration certificate (BAAC-CAL-001) may be ordered with the unit from manufacturer Labbox. Ideal where portable 1200 g capacity weighing and counting are required.

Questions about Compact portable balance, CBX series, 1200 g
What is this article?
Compact portable balance, CBX series, 1200 g is the article on this page. Luminix Health distributes Labbox for laboratory use. It sits in Precision balances, inside Balances & scales, in Lab instruments.
A precision balance reads more coarsely than an analytical balance, often 1 mg or 10 mg, and it takes a heavier pan load. It is the balance for preparing bulk reagents. Draft, level and a warm-up still move the last digit.
A balance compares a mass with a standard. An analytical balance reads to 0.1 mg or finer and needs a draft shield and a stable bench. A precision balance is coarser and faster. A platform scale takes a heavier load. The reading is only as good as the calibration chain back to the kilogram, which is why test weights and a certificate exist. A moisture analyser is a balance with a heater: it records the loss of mass as water leaves. The unit of mass is kept by the BIPM, compared across Europe by EURAMET, and accredited by BELAC. NIST publishes the same measurement foundations.
