Description

Rectangular container L x W x H 600 x 340 x 480 mm with 5 mm wall thickness and 85 l nominal volume is a robust multi-purpose vessel for laboratory and industrial environments. Fabricated seamlessly and stress-free by the LaboPlast® sinter process from linear low-density polyethylene (L-LDPE), the transparent container is break-proof and suited to varied storage tasks. Wall thickness increases from top to bottom, securing an optimal relationship between wall strength and filling load. Overall size is 600 mm length, 340 mm width and 480 mm height, with a net weight of 6,5 kg. Supplied by manufacturer Bürkle as a custom single item (exchange excluded), it is also obtainable black-coloured for UV protection and in alternative wall thicknesses. The Labo-Plast® design yields a durable, seam-free rectangular body that accommodates liquids or solids efficiently. Its practical footprint, impact-resistant L-LDPE construction and clear visibility make the container a dependable choice for general laboratory containment where strength and transparency matter.

What is this article?

A sample container or jar is the vessel the sample travels in, with a closure that survives the trip. The volume and the liner decide whether the sample that arrives is the sample that was taken.

A laboratory bottle is a closed container with a stated volume and a neck that takes a cap, a stopper or a dispenser. Borosilicate glass is the choice when the liquid is a solvent, or when the bottle will be heated or autoclaved. Polyethylene and polypropylene are the choice when the bottle must not shatter, or when hydrofluoric acid would attack glass. A narrow mouth pours. A wide mouth is for powders and for reaching the bottom. Laboratory ware of this kind is indexed under ISO laboratory glassware. Traceable volume sits with the BIPM and NIST Physical Measurement.
