Description

CPC coupling, POM, female, without valve, 3/8'' NPT is a quick-disconnect fitting intended for the rapid and secure joining of liquid, gas, compressed-air and vacuum lines. The series is characterised by solid build quality, proven reliability, low space demand, high flow, easy one-hand handling and a neat industrial design that meets exacting laboratory and process requirements. Leak-tight sealing is provided by a secure O-ring. Couplings and nipples of the same flow size are fully interchangeable, so female and male parts can be combined freely within that size class. The body is POM with a standard Buna-N seal. Operating pressure at 20 °C extends from vacuum to 10 bar, and the operating temperature range is −40 °C to +80 °C. This female part without valve and with 3/8'' NPT thread, from manufacturer Bürkle, is well suited to separating and reconnecting hoses, instruments, apparatus and containers in compact fluid-handling setups. Pack size is 1 piece; net weight is approximately 0,006 kg.

This article is part of Stopcocks & valves, in Tubing, hoses & fittings.

Questions about CPC coupling, POM, female, w/o valve, 3/8'' NPT

What is this article?

CPC coupling, POM, female, w/o valve, 3/8'' NPT is the article on this page. Luminix Health distributes Bürkle for laboratory use. It sits in Hose connectors, adapters & fittings, inside Tubing, hoses & fittings, in Labware.

A hose connector or adapter joins two lines, or steps one bore down to another. The barb diameter has to match the tube, and the thread has to match the stopcock or the bottle. Most leaks are a mismatch here, not a hole in the tube.

Tubing is how a liquid or a gas moves between two vessels without being poured. Silicone stays flexible and survives repeated autoclaving. PTFE resists almost every solvent and is stiff. PVC is the ordinary flexible line for water and for mild aqueous work. The fitting, not the tube, is what usually leaks: the barb, the thread and the stopcock have to match the tube bore. Glass and plastic apparatus around these lines is indexed under ISO laboratory ware.
