Cuvette for scattered light measurements, type 540-QS, is a precision optical cell manufactured from high-performance quartz glass for spectroscopy. It combines a 20 mm path length with a 20 mm outer diameter, a PTFE stopper and a nominal fill volume of 0,014 l (14,000 µl). The stated spectral window covers 200 nm to 2500 nm, supporting UV through NIR scattered-light work on common spectrophotometers. Hellma® precision cuvettes from manufacturer Hellma (IDL) are produced entirely in Germany and are thermally bonded rather than glued, which strengthens resistance to temperature and chemicals and helps prevent unintended leakage. Selected high-performance quartz glasses provide excellent transmission above 82 % for exact, reproducible readings. Chamfered edges improve safe, comfortable handling and reduce the risk of chipping. Cells can be cleaned and reused for long service life.
