DURAN® filtration attachment with PP funnel and two FKM seals is a modular laboratory filtration unit for separation and purification of media. Fabricated from borosilicate glass 3.3, this assembly offers a nominal volume of 250 ml (0,25 l) and consists of a receiver vessel, sealing ring, glass filter plate and funnel that can be completely disassembled. Each individual component may be replaced or varied so the filter matches the required application. Three device sizes together with four filter-plate porosities provide twelve different filtration possibilities. The permanently fired white graduation scale with line division stays durable and clearly legible for measuring contents. Interchangeable filter plates prolong service life because the retained material can be scraped out without damaging the plate, while cleaning is possible from both sides. Ordering devices and plates separately keeps the system cost-effective. Supplied ready for use with the polypropylene funnel and two FKM seals from manufacturer Duran/DWK Life Sciences, the unit is suited to filtration under reduced pressure, qualitative analysis, preparative chemistry and isolation of filtrate for further work. Compatible slotted sieve plates acting as carriers for membrane and paper filters are obtainable separately.
