Description
DURAN® GL 80® wide-neck bottle, amber, USP and EP (3.2.1) is a 250 ml laboratory bottle formed from high-purity USP/EP Type I borosilicate glass 3.3. The wider GL 80 opening eases access for larger samples, granules, powders or viscous liquids. An external fused amber colouration protects light-sensitive materials from photodegradation; ultraviolet protection meets international USP/EP standards and remains effective over the bottle lifetime. Clear, permanent white enamel provides an easy-to-read graduated volume scale and a marking field, while a fired-on Retrace Code on each bottle supports full manufacturing traceability. This bottle from manufacturer Duran/DWK Life Sciences is supplied without screw cap and pouring ring. External browning leaves internal DURAN® glass properties unchanged and offers durable chemical resistance of the coloured layer. Applications include preparation, storage, transport and shipping of light-sensitive materials, media and reagents, as well as use as a culture vessel. All matching polypropylene closure components, when used, are fully autoclavable at 121 or 134 °C for routine laboratory sterilisation cycles.
