Description
DURAN® GLS 80® high-temperature screw cap, white is a wide-neck laboratory closure manufactured from PSU (polyarylsulfone) for demanding thermal and chemical conditions. The specialised polyarylsulfone-based composition delivers improved chemical, thermal and mechanical performance compared with standard polypropylene components, making the cap suitable for repeated laboratory use. A double-sided PTFE-coated seal of platinum-crosslinked silicone ensures reliable, leak-tight closure of GLS 80 bottles. The design supports efficient sealing during autoclaving of media and reagents, media preparation, sampling, culture-vessel work, storage, transport and shipping. A matching ETFE pouring ring (available separately) enables clean, drip-free dispensing. PSU construction provides higher thermal and chemical resistance than conventional alternatives, while the robust geometry maintains stiffness and impact strength under laboratory handling. This white GLS 80 high-temperature screw cap from manufacturer Duran/DWK Life Sciences is supplied in practical multi-packs for routine replacement and system compatibility across DURAN® wide-neck bottles.

Questions about DURAN® GLS 80® High Temperature Screw Cap, white
What is this article?
DURAN® GLS 80® High Temperature Screw Cap, white is the article on this page. Luminix Health distributes DWK Life Sciences for laboratory use. It sits in Screw caps & closures, inside Stoppers, caps & closures, in Labware.
A screw cap has a thread and a liner. The thread has to match the bottle. The liner has to survive the liquid: a pulp liner fails in a solvent that a PTFE-faced liner ignores. The colour of the cap is not the specification.
A closure is the part that decides whether a bottle stays shut and whether the contents attack the seal. A ground-glass stopper matches a ground neck. A screw cap needs the right thread and a liner that survives the liquid. Rubber and silicone stoppers push into a mouth. The liner, not the colour of the cap, is the chemical choice. The vessels they close are indexed under ISO laboratory glassware.
