Description
DURAN® GLS 80® laboratory bottle is a wide-neck, clear graduated bottle with GL 80 thread for convenient access to larger samples, granules, powders and viscous liquids. It is formed from high-purity USP/EP Type I borosilicate glass 3.3, valued for excellent thermal behaviour and high resistance to chemical attack. The 20 l nominal volume unit has an outer diameter of 288 mm and a height of 484 mm, with a large base area for secure standing. A clearly readable graduated volume scale and marking field in durable white enamel support content measurement and labelling. A permanently printed Retrace Code on each bottle ensures full manufacturing traceability. The bottle is supplied complete with the familiar blue polypropylene screw cap and drip-free pouring ring for use up to 140 °C; all components are fully autoclavable at 121 or 134 °C. Special thread geometry enables fast opening and closing in less than one turn, while the wide neck eases filling, emptying, cleaning and handling with spoons, spatulas, tweezers or large funnels. Typical uses include autoclaving media and reagents, preparation, sampling, culture vessels, storage, transport and shipping. Available from manufacturer Duran/DWK Life Sciences as a complete ready-to-use laboratory bottle.
