Description

DURAN® Original GL 45 laboratory bottle, clear, with high-temperature screw cap is a multifunctional laboratory bottle moulded from high-purity clear USP/EP Type I borosilicate glass 3.3, valued for excellent thermal behaviour and high resistance to chemical attack. The 100 ml nominal-volume bottle follows the robust ISO 4796-1 design and carries a standardised GL 45 thread for long service life. An easy-to-read graduated volume scale and permanent white enamel marking field support accurate laboratory work, while the permanently printed Retrace Code on each bottle ensures full manufacturing traceability. Supplied complete with red polybutylene terephthalate (PBT) GL 45 screw cap featuring PTFE-coated silicone liner and red ETFE pouring ring from manufacturer Duran/DWK Life Sciences, the assembly delivers higher thermal and chemical resistance than comparable polypropylene components. All parts are fully autoclavable at 121 or 134 °C and suitable for dry-heat sterilisation up to 180 °C; they also meet current international food-contact regulations such as (EU) No. 10/2011. The matched closure system enables a particularly tight seal and clean, drip-free pouring. Typical applications include autoclaving of media and reagents, media preparation, sampling, culture-vessel use, storage, transport and shipping.
