Description
DURAN® Original GL 45 laboratory bottle, clear, is a multifunctional laboratory bottle formed from high-purity clear USP/EP Type I borosilicate glass 3.3, valued for excellent thermal performance and high chemical resistance. With a nominal volume of 0,5 l and standardised GL 45 thread, it follows the robust ISO 4796-1 design that has made these bottles a laboratory standard since 1972. Each bottle carries an easily readable graduated volume scale and a permanent white enamel marking field, plus a permanently printed Retrace Code for full manufacturing traceability. Supplied complete with a red high-temperature polybutylene terephthalate (PBT) GL 45 screw cap featuring a PTFE-coated silicone liner and a matching red ETFE pouring ring, the assembly offers elevated thermal and chemical resistance compared with polypropylene components. All parts from manufacturer Duran/DWK Life Sciences are fully autoclavable at 121 or 134 °C and suitable for dry-heat sterilisation up to 180 °C. Components meet current international food-contact regulations such as (EU) No. 10/2011. Typical uses include autoclaving, preparation and storage of media and reagents, sampling, culture work, and transport.
