Description

DURAN® Original pouring ring for laboratory bottles is a grey polypropylene (PP) GL 45 accessory that supports drip-free dispensing and clean laboratory handling. Equipped with an integrated lip seal and pouring ring, it enables controlled, residue-minimised removal of liquids while maintaining a secure fit on the bottle neck. The ring forms part of a colour-coded system available in blue, green, yellow and grey with matching pouring rings, which simplifies separation of different media and virtually eliminates mix-ups of screw caps as well as carry-over of substances. Clear colour identification further reduces the risk of swapping closures. Fully compatible with all GL 45 threads, the component can be used across a wide range of laboratory bottle systems. Typical applications include autoclaving of media and reagents, short-term storage of samples and media, and reliable colour coding for identification. This pouring ring from manufacturer Duran/DWK Life Sciences is supplied as a single lightweight piece (net weight 0,001 kg) and is intended for everyday laboratory workflows that demand clean, safe pouring performance.

Questions about DURAN® Original Laboratory Bottle Pouring Ring, PP

What is this article?

DURAN® Original Laboratory Bottle Pouring Ring, PP is the article on this page. Luminix Health distributes DWK Life Sciences for laboratory use. It sits in Bottle accessories (pouring rings, dispensers, caps), inside Bottles & containers, in Labware.

Bottle accessories are the pieces on the neck: a pouring ring, a dispenser seat, a cap liner, a tamper ring. They decide how the bottle delivers and whether the closure still matches after the original cap is gone.

A laboratory bottle is a closed container with a stated volume and a neck that takes a cap, a stopper or a dispenser. Borosilicate glass is the choice when the liquid is a solvent, or when the bottle will be heated or autoclaved. Polyethylene and polypropylene are the choice when the bottle must not shatter, or when hydrofluoric acid would attack glass. A narrow mouth pours. A wide mouth is for powders and for reaching the bottom. Laboratory ware of this kind is indexed under ISO laboratory glassware. Traceable volume sits with the BIPM and NIST Physical Measurement.
