DURAN® GL 25 Premium replacement sealing disc is a PTFE-coated silicone gasket for use with Premium screw closures in chemically and thermally demanding processes. Manufactured from high-purity polymer without dyes and from materials meeting FDA, USP, EP and JP requirements, it is particularly suited to pharmaceutical, chemical and food-industry applications. The fluoropolymer construction provides high temperature resistance, supporting demanding sterilisation methods including hot-air and dry-heat sterilisation as well as depyrogenation at 260 °C. The PTFE-coated silicone sealing disc ensures a tight bottle closure and is well suited for storage and transport of sensitive contents. From manufacturer Duran/DWK Life Sciences, the disc is fully compatible with GL 25 or GL 45 threads and therefore highly versatile. Matching PFA pouring rings for drip-free pouring and additional PTFE-coated silicone lids are available separately. Typical uses include autoclaving of media and reagents, media preparation, chemical and thermal reactions, and secure transport or shipping of laboratory materials.
