Description

DURAN® reagent bottle, narrow neck, amber, NS 24/29 with glass stopper is a classic stoppered laboratory bottle formed from DURAN® borosilicate 3.3 Type 1 glass for storage of liquid and solid chemicals and reagents. The 500 ml bottle features a narrow conical ground joint conforming to ISO 4796-2; the slim neck is suited to liquids while the shoulder geometry aids controlled pouring. The matching glass stopper provides an excellent seal against evaporation, oxidation and contamination. Permanent white enamel printing supplies a marking field and Retrace Code for identification and batch traceability. External amber colouration protects light-sensitive contents from photodegradation, delivering UV protection up to approximately 500 nm according to USP/EP requirements over the entire lifetime of the bottle. Because the colour is applied only externally, the internal DURAN® glass properties remain unchanged and the coating shows high durability and chemical resistance. This all-glass design from manufacturer Duran/DWK Life Sciences is appropriate for aggressive materials and carries an easy-to-read graduated scale with durable white print. Applications include storage of light-sensitive reagents, pharmaceuticals, chemicals, samples and hygroscopic liquids.
