Manufactured from borosilicate glass 3.3, this complete one-way stopcock includes a threaded SBW-J glass key that is held in the ground barrel by a three-part stopcock retainer. DURAN® straight stopcocks complete with threaded keys represent the most common form of ground shut-off stopcocks used in laboratory glassware. The assembly features a taper of 1:10 and a ground stopcock sleeve paired with the SBW-J glass key for secure retention during use. Designed as a glass article for further processing, the component is intended for installation in glass apparatus and laboratory devices. The complete unit has a net weight of 0,06 kg and is supplied ready for integration into custom glass setups. This stopcock from manufacturer Duran/DWK Life Sciences supports construction of laboratory glass systems where a durable borosilicate stopcock with defined bore and standard joint is required for controlled fluid handling in research and analytical environments.

Questions about DURAN® Single Way Stopcock, with SBW-J key, complete

What is this article?

DURAN® Single Way Stopcock, with SBW-J key, complete is the article on this page. Luminix Health distributes DWK Life Sciences for laboratory use. It sits in Stopcocks & valves, inside Tubing, hoses & fittings, in Labware.

A stopcock opens and closes a line, or directs it between ports. Glass stopcocks have a ground plug that needs grease or a PTFE key. The bore decides the flow. A two-way and a three-way key are different parts.

Tubing is how a liquid or a gas moves between two vessels without being poured. Silicone stays flexible and survives repeated autoclaving. PTFE resists almost every solvent and is stiff. PVC is the ordinary flexible line for water and for mild aqueous work. The fitting, not the tube, is what usually leaks: the barb, the thread and the stopcock have to match the tube bore. Glass and plastic apparatus around these lines is indexed under ISO laboratory ware.
