Description
DURAN® volumetric flask Class A 2000 ml with CoC and batch certificate and blue print is a large-capacity precision vessel made from borosilicate glass 3.3 for demanding volumetric laboratory tasks. Compliant with ISO 1042, the clear flask features a permanently fired blue print and a printed ring mark that improves visibility of the meniscus; it is adjusted to contain (In) at the reference temperature of +20 °C. Class A delivers the highest accuracy class with the smallest permissible volume tolerances and outstanding process stability. An ergonomic polyethylene stopper is included for rapid yet secure sealing. Flasks marked Class A and carrying a batch number are supplied with a batch certificate that documents the batch mean value, standard deviation and issue date; certificates can also be downloaded online. The four-digit batch number indicates production year followed by lot. Primary uses include preparation and storage of standard solutions, accurate measurement of liquid volumes, dilution steps, mixing of several components and volumetric analysis. These 2 l flasks from manufacturer Duran/DWK Life Sciences are fitted with an NS 29/32 ground joint. To preserve volumetric integrity over time, do not expose the glassware to temperatures above +250 °C in drying ovens or sterilizers. Pack size is 2 pieces.
This article is part of Volumetric flasks, in Volumetric glassware.

Questions about DURAN® Volumetric Flask, Class A, with CoC and batch certificate, blue print
What is this article?
DURAN® Volumetric Flask, Class A, with CoC and batch certificate, blue print is the article on this page. Luminix Health distributes DWK Life Sciences for laboratory use. It sits in Volumetric flasks, inside Volumetric glassware, in Labware.
A volumetric flask is calibrated to contain one volume at a reference temperature, with a single mark on a narrow neck. Class A is the tight tolerance. It is not a storage bottle and it is not for heating. The stopper is part of the calibrated article.
Volumetric glassware is glass that has been calibrated to contain or to deliver one stated volume at a reference temperature. That calibration is the whole point. Class A and class AS have a tighter tolerance than class B. A volumetric flask contains. A pipette and a burette deliver. A measuring cylinder is the coarser reading, used when the volume is not the result. The classes sit under ISO laboratory glassware. The chain back to the unit of volume is the work of the BIPM and of NIST.
