Description
DURAN® YOUTILITY® GL 45 laboratory bottle, amber, is a 250 ml borosilicate glass 3.3 bottle supplied with screw cap and pouring ring for light-sensitive media. As an alternative to clear DURAN® glass, the amber exterior provides UV protection up to approximately 500 nm and meets the requirements of USP and Eur. Ph. 3.2.1. The brown colour is permanently fired into the outer glass layer, so the proven internal DURAN® properties remain unchanged and chemical resistance of the colouring is retained. Specially shaped grip recesses on both sides improve handling, while the shortened GL 45 thread stays fully compatible with standard GL 45 closures and accessories. The ergonomic cyan polypropylene cap with optimised grooves and ribs enables faster opening and closing, including when gloves are worn. Predefined areas accept DURAN® YOUTILITY labels for clear identification, and the slimmer profile supports efficient use of space in autoclaves and laboratory refrigerators. A sealing-lip closure system ensures reliable liquid tightness; horizontal side storage is possible. Suitable for preparation, storage and transport of light-sensitive materials, this bottle from manufacturer Duran/DWK Life Sciences combines practical laboratory ergonomics with dependable protection.
