Description

The Sulphide electrode DX232 is an ion-selective electrode (ISE) with solid-state membrane for sulphide ion determination in laboratory workflows. This modular half-cell pairs a reusable shaft with an ion-specific membrane module; exchanging the membrane kit converts the sensor to another target ion. Every ISE and membrane module is wet-chemically verified to satisfy strict working instructions that cover several direct measurements and a typical titration application. Each electrode receives a serial number and is accompanied by a quality certificate. The shaft is manufactured from POM and withstands temperatures from 0 to 80 °C, with a measuring range of 1,0 to 1,0E-06 mol/L and an optimal pH range of 4 to 13. Delivered as a single piece weighing 0,11 kg net, the DX232 sulphide half-cell from manufacturer Mettler-Toledo OnLine supports reliable ion-selective analysis. The common shaft design across the half-cell range keeps conversion to other ISE types simple and economical.

Questions about DX232-S ISE half-cell electrode

What is this article?

DX232-S ISE half-cell electrode is the article on this page. Luminix Health distributes Mettler-Toledo OnLine for laboratory use. It sits in pH electrodes & sensors, inside pH & electrochemistry, in Lab instruments.

A pH electrode is a glass membrane and a reference. It is a consumable: the glass ages, the junction clogs, and the reading drifts. A refillable electrode and a gel electrode differ in how they are maintained. The connector has to match the meter. The electrode, not the meter, is usually what is wrong.

A pH meter is a voltmeter on a glass electrode. The voltage tracks hydrogen-ion activity, and the electrode is converted to pH only after it is adjusted with buffers of known value. Conductivity measures how well a solution carries a current, which for dilute salts tracks concentration. Dissolved oxygen and titration are further electrodes on the same idea: a sensor, a standard, and a reading that is only as fresh as the calibration. Buffer values and chemical identity sit on PubChem. Accreditation of the calibration laboratory is the field of BELAC and EURAMET.
