Description

The edge® tablet multiparameter meter without electrode, 230 V, is a compact laboratory instrument for pH measurement that can be expanded to conductivity (EC) and dissolved oxygen (DO) by connecting the corresponding optional digital probes. Unique digital sensors are recognised automatically for sensor type, calibration data and serial number, and attach via a 3,5 mm jack connector. In standard mode the pH range is −2,000 to 16,000 with 0,001 resolution and ±0,002 accuracy; simplified mode covers −2,00 to 16,00 at 0,01 resolution. The mV range is ±1000 mV at 0,1 mV resolution. Automatic pH temperature compensation runs from −5 to 100 °C, while temperature measurement spans −20,0 to 120,0 °C at 0,1 °C resolution. Data logging holds up to 1000 records in standard mode (manual, stability and interval groups). The slim housing measures 202 mm × 140 mm × 12 mm and weighs 250 g, with a USB port for memory sticks and micro-USB for charging and PC connection. Power comes from the supplied 5 V DC adapter. This edge® meter from manufacturer Hanna Instruments is intended for electrochemical work under ambient conditions of 0 to 50 °C and max. 95 % relative humidity, non-condensing.

Questions about edge dedicated pH/EC/DO Meter supplied without HI11310

What is this article?

edge dedicated pH/EC/DO Meter supplied without HI11310 is the article on this page. Luminix Health distributes Hanna Instruments for laboratory use. It sits in Dissolved oxygen & multiparameter meters, inside pH & electrochemistry, in Lab instruments.

A dissolved-oxygen meter reads oxygen in a liquid, optically or with a Clark cell. A multiparameter meter adds pH, conductivity or both on one instrument. The sensor cap or the membrane is the consumable. A reading in air and a reading in water are different calibrations.

A pH meter is a voltmeter on a glass electrode. The voltage tracks hydrogen-ion activity, and the electrode is converted to pH only after it is adjusted with buffers of known value. Conductivity measures how well a solution carries a current, which for dilute salts tracks concentration. Dissolved oxygen and titration are further electrodes on the same idea: a sensor, a standard, and a reading that is only as fresh as the calibration. Buffer values and chemical identity sit on PubChem. Accreditation of the calibration laboratory is the field of BELAC and EURAMET.
