Filter vial in polypropylene with orange polypropylene snap-ring cap and PVDF membrane (0,45 µm pore size, UltraClean) provides a straightforward sample-preparation route for analytical work. The sample is introduced into the outer vial and, by pressing the inner insert, is forced through the membrane so that filtration and transfer into a ready-to-use vessel take place in a single operation. Once filtered, the complete filter vial can be placed directly in an autosampler for subsequent chromatographic or spectroscopic analysis. The system comprises an internal insert with membrane chamber and an external vial, and includes as standard snap-ring caps with a slotted silicone/PTFE septum; an unslotted septum can be supplied on request.
