Description

Fixed grinding disc 200 mm P-13 cl/P-13 pl WC+Co is a wear-resistant disc intended for the comminution of very hard and abrasive sample materials. Manufactured from tungsten carbide grade GC 40 (WC) with cobalt binder, the disc offers very good abrasion resistance and is therefore suited to demanding grinding tasks in disc mills. The 200 mm diameter fixed disc is specified for use with P-13 cl / P-13 pl configurations and provides a durable working surface for reducing hard, abrasive specimens to the required particle size. With a net weight of 9,0 kg the component is robust enough for continuous laboratory or pilot-plant operation. Supplied as a single piece from manufacturer Fritsch, this grinding disc forms part of the consumable set for disc-mill systems used in materials research, geology, ceramics and quality-control laboratories. The tungsten-carbide construction ensures long service life when processing samples that would rapidly wear softer grinding media, supporting reproducible sample preparation of difficult matrices.

Questions about fixed grinding disk 200 mm hardmetal tungsten carbide

What is this article?

fixed grinding disk 200 mm hardmetal tungsten carbide is the article on this page. Luminix Health distributes Fritsch for laboratory use. It sits in Mills, grinders & homogenisers, inside Test sieves & mills, in Lab instruments.

A mill, grinder or homogeniser reduces particle size or breaks a tissue before an extraction. The rotor and the sieve insert decide the result. A knife mill and a bead mill are different machines. The sample has to tolerate the heat the motor puts into it.

A test sieve sorts particles by whether they pass an opening. Wire mesh and perforated plate are two ways of making that opening, and the nominal size is not a suggestion. A sieve shaker repeats the motion so the result does not depend on how hard someone shook by hand. A mill or grinder makes the particles smaller before they are sieved. The certificate of the sieve, and the opening size, are what an audit asks for. Measurement practice around mass and dimension sits with the BIPM, EURAMET and BELAC.
