Material: silicone (VMQ). Autoclavable: yes.
For tight sealing of DURAN® flat flange vessels with groove indentation. Flat-flange vessels are large-volume reaction vials consisting of a lower part with a groove in the flat flange and a lid. Both parts are held together with the help of a separately available clamping ring. The silicone sealing ring serves to seal and prevent jamming of the ground surfaces between the lower part and the lid.
Note: not suitable for desiccators.
- The use of a sealing ring guarantees very good tightness of the flat flange connection
- Temperature stable in the range -50 to +200 °C
- Chemical resistance is limited compared to FEP-coated O-rings
