Description

HALO™ FC2022 is a Bluetooth® Smart (4.0) pH/°C electrode engineered for food and dairy applications. Its PVDF body and low-temperature glass conical tip, combined with an open junction and silver-free Viscolene hard-gel electrolyte, resist clogging and suit direct measurement in semi-solid matrices. An integrated temperature sensor provides automatic temperature compensation for both calibration and measurement within the recommended 0 to 60 °C range; the pH measuring range is 0 to 12. Wireless data transmission reaches paired devices or the edge® blu meter up to 10 m away. One-press connect, a visible blue status LED and on-board storage of calibration data simplify workflow, while a user-replaceable CR2032 lithium battery delivers approximately 500 hours of operation. Overall length is 134 mm with a 70 mm body that tapers from 12 mm to 8 mm outer diameter. The single-piece kit from manufacturer Hanna Instruments includes storage and cleaning solutions, pH 7,01 and 4,01 buffers, battery, quality certificate and instruction manual for immediate use with the free Hanna Lab App.

Questions about HALO Foodcare pH Electrode with Bluetooth®

What is this article?

HALO Foodcare pH Electrode with Bluetooth® is the article on this page. Luminix Health distributes Hanna Instruments for laboratory use. It sits in pH electrodes & sensors, inside pH & electrochemistry, in Lab instruments.

A pH electrode is a glass membrane and a reference. It is a consumable: the glass ages, the junction clogs, and the reading drifts. A refillable electrode and a gel electrode differ in how they are maintained. The connector has to match the meter. The electrode, not the meter, is usually what is wrong.

A pH meter is a voltmeter on a glass electrode. The voltage tracks hydrogen-ion activity, and the electrode is converted to pH only after it is adjusted with buffers of known value. Conductivity measures how well a solution carries a current, which for dilute salts tracks concentration. Dissolved oxygen and titration are further electrodes on the same idea: a sensor, a standard, and a reading that is only as fresh as the calibration. Buffer values and chemical identity sit on PubChem. Accreditation of the calibration laboratory is the field of BELAC and EURAMET.
