Description
HS 260 control NOL is a compact horizontal shaker without endpoint positioning, developed for gentle mixing of laboratory samples. Its flat construction allows easy placement on any laboratory bench. With a maximum shaking weight of 7,5 kg the instrument handles a wide range of vessel sizes and shapes. A shaking stroke of 20 mm produces uniform mixing, while the electronically controlled speed range of 10–300 rpm supports many different applications. Speed and timer settings are adjusted electronically; the digital LED display provides clear readout of both parameters. Timer function extends from 1 min to 99 h 59 min and continuous operation is also possible. An RS 232 interface permits external control and documentation with labworldsoft®. Numerous attachment combinations for virtually all vessel forms are available separately and are not part of the standard delivery. This horizontal shaker from manufacturer IKA is an ideal choice for laboratory workflows that require gentle reciprocal mixing.
This article is part of Shakers, rockers & rotators, in Stirring, shaking & mixing.

Questions about HS 260 control NOL, Horizontal shaker without end point positioning
What is this article?
HS 260 control NOL, Horizontal shaker without end point positioning is the article on this page. Luminix Health distributes IKA for laboratory use. It sits in Shakers, rockers & rotators, inside Stirring, shaking & mixing, in Lab instruments.
A shaker, rocker or rotator moves a rack, a plate or a bottle so the contents keep moving without a stirrer bar. Orbital, reciprocating and rocking motions are different. The platform, the load and the speed range are the specification.
Stirring keeps a mixture uniform or helps a solid dissolve. A magnetic stirrer spins a bar inside a closed vessel. An overhead stirrer drives a shaft when the liquid is viscous or the volume is large. A vortex mixer agitates a tube. A shaker moves a whole rack or a plate. The shape of the impeller and the speed decide whether the liquid turns over or merely spins. The vessels being stirred are indexed under ISO laboratory glassware.
