A graphics-supported control panel guides the four work steps from left to right—tare the empty container, fill the reference quantity (5, 10 or 20 pieces), confirm the reference, then fill the bulk quantity—so untrained users can work without lengthy instruction and with fewer operating errors. Automatic reference optimisation progressively improves the average piece weight for accurate counting. The KERN Universal Port (KUP) accepts external interface adapters such as RS-232, USB, Bluetooth, WLAN or Ethernet without installation effort, while the KERN Communication Protocol (KCP) enables querying and remote control from external devices or computers.
