Description

LaboStar PRO DI 4 is a compact mobile ultrapure water system with an integrated 7 l tank for cost-efficient production of analytically pure water at up to 1,5 l/min. Product water reaches a conductivity of 0,055 µS/cm (18,2 MΩ·cm) with a TOC content of 5–10 ppb, exceeding common laboratory quality standards. Feed water must be demineralised water, distilled water or reverse-osmosis permeate, filled manually into the built-in tank; after refill, ultrapure water is available within minutes. A polisher module with selected high-purity treatment media delivers the final quality, while continuous conductivity monitoring in the recirculation loop tracks product purity. The dispenser carries a 0,2 µm sterile filter that retains bacteria and endotoxins. Feed-water limits include inlet conductivity below 20 µS/cm, SDI below 3, CO2 below 20 mg/l, free chlorine below 0,1 mg/l and iron below 0,1 mg/l at 5–30 °C. Electrical supply is 100–240 V, 50–60 Hz, maximum 270 W, with approximately 1,5–1,7 m mains cable. Overall dimensions are about H 535 × W 400 × D 520 mm and shipping weight around 22 kg. This bench-top unit from manufacturer Evoqua Water Technologies suits space-limited laboratories needing reliable Type I water without permanent pressurised feed.

Questions about LaboStar PRO DI 4

What is this article?

LaboStar PRO DI 4 is the article on this page. Luminix Health distributes Evoqua Water Technologies for laboratory use. It sits in Ultrapure & pure water systems, inside Water purification, in Lab instruments.

A pure-water system, often by reverse osmosis and deionisation, feeds the laboratory. An ultrapure polisher takes that water to the resistivity and organic levels HPLC or cell culture ask for. Production rate and the feed water it expects are the specification. The system is not a cooler.

Laboratory water is a reagent. Tap water carries ions, organics and microbes that become part of every result they touch. A pure-water system takes most of them out. An ultrapure system, often a polisher after a first stage, is what HPLC, cell culture and trace analysis ask for. Resistivity, total organic carbon and endotoxin are different claims. A cartridge is spent when the number drifts, not when the calendar says so. The measurement of those impurities sits with NIST and the BIPM.
