Description

LabSen 761 pH electrode is equipped with a blade for pH measurement in meat, fish and semi-frozen foods. It is produced with patented Swiss sensor technology and materials from manufacturer APERA Instruments and covers the measuring range 0 to 14 pH. The LabSen S-type pointed low-impedance glass membrane provides fully stabilised values in 15 to 30 seconds and is up to ten times more robust than conventional membranes, markedly reducing breakage risk during insertion or impact. Polymer electrolyte with a hole-diaphragm structure enables direct sample contact without clogging and needs no refilling. A long-life reference system consisting of a glass tube, AgCl and reference silver wire with cotton packing enhances reference stability and electrode lifetime. The blade is made of food-grade titanium alloy and is easy to clean; blue gel electrolyte does not flow and avoids air bubbles. Electrode dimensions are Ø12 × 115 mm, with ceramic plus single-pore diaphragm, BNC connection and Ø3 mm × 1 m cable. Recommended operating temperature is 0 to 80 °C. No temperature sensor is built in; automatic temperature compensation requires a separate probe or manual temperature input. Pack size is 1 pc.

What is this article?

LabSen 761 pH Electrode with stainless Steel Blade, for meat, fish etc. is the article on this page. Luminix Health distributes APERA Instruments for laboratory use. It sits in pH electrodes & sensors, inside pH & electrochemistry, in Lab instruments.

A pH electrode is a glass membrane and a reference. It is a consumable: the glass ages, the junction clogs, and the reading drifts. A refillable electrode and a gel electrode differ in how they are maintained. The connector has to match the meter. The electrode, not the meter, is usually what is wrong.

A pH meter is a voltmeter on a glass electrode. The voltage tracks hydrogen-ion activity, and the electrode is converted to pH only after it is adjusted with buffers of known value. Conductivity measures how well a solution carries a current, which for dilute salts tracks concentration. Dissolved oxygen and titration are further electrodes on the same idea: a sensor, a standard, and a reading that is only as fresh as the calibration. Buffer values and chemical identity sit on PubChem. Accreditation of the calibration laboratory is the field of BELAC and EURAMET.
