Description

LabSen 211 combined glass pH electrode is engineered with patented Swiss sensor technology and materials for regular, precise pH measurements of aqueous solutions in scientific research and quality control. It is fully compatible with TRIS buffer solutions. The LabSen S-type hemispherical glass membrane is low-resistance yet up to ten times more robust than conventional membranes, delivering fully stabilised readings within 15 to 30 seconds while reducing breakage risk from impact. A long-life reference system consisting of a glass tube, AgCl and a reference silver wire, with cotton packing at the top of the thin tube, prevents reaction between AgCl and electrolyte during temperature changes, improving reference stability and electrode lifetime. From manufacturer APERA Instruments, the electrode uses gel electrolyte that eliminates air bubbles, a ceramic diaphragm and a lead-free glass shaft. Measuring range is 0 to 14 pH with 3 M KCl electrolyte; recommended operating temperature is −5 to 100 °C. Dimensions are Ø12×120 mm; the cable is Ø3 mm × 1 m with a BNC connector compatible with common laboratory pH meters. No temperature sensor is integrated; automatic temperature compensation requires a separate probe or manual temperature entry. Storage solution is 3 M KCl. Manufacturer warranty is six months.

Questions about LabSen®211 Professional Glass Combination pH Electrode for regular water

What is this article?

LabSen®211 Professional Glass Combination pH Electrode for regular water is the article on this page. Luminix Health distributes APERA Instruments for laboratory use. It sits in pH electrodes & sensors, inside pH & electrochemistry, in Lab instruments.

A pH electrode is a glass membrane and a reference. It is a consumable: the glass ages, the junction clogs, and the reading drifts. A refillable electrode and a gel electrode differ in how they are maintained. The connector has to match the meter. The electrode, not the meter, is usually what is wrong.

A pH meter is a voltmeter on a glass electrode. The voltage tracks hydrogen-ion activity, and the electrode is converted to pH only after it is adjusted with buffers of known value. Conductivity measures how well a solution carries a current, which for dilute salts tracks concentration. Dissolved oxygen and titration are further electrodes on the same idea: a sensor, a standard, and a reading that is only as fresh as the calibration. Buffer values and chemical identity sit on PubChem. Accreditation of the calibration laboratory is the field of BELAC and EURAMET.
